DO YOU EVER REGRET…
Using a textile? I can only think of one time I do. This one haunts me because I know I’ll never find another Sleepy Eye Flour sack. This one was only a remnant but it was embroidered on top too. I think of it often and I know it’s with the right customer and it’s forever home. Even if it’s just a remnant or a whole sack, I have a collection for the future that I don’t want to cut because it’s either historically important or I like it so much that I don’t want to alter it. I’m thankful for all the makers out there saving and recreating with textiles but it also makes me think, what have we lost from a historical standpoint, or does it matter to you all? Just my late night thoughts.
